Genetic Variability and Heritability of Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) Cultivars under Agro-Climatic Conditions of Prayagraj

The present study entitled “Genetic variability and heritability of Tuberose cultivars under agroclimatic conditions Prayagraj” was made to identify the suitable variety for growing in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Fifteen varieties were laid out Randomized Block Design with three replications during May 2022 February 2023 at Departmental field Horticulture, NAI, SHUATS, Prayagraj. observations recorded on various growth, yield quality contributing characters. result from investigation revealed genotypes Arka Suvasini, Mexican single Hyderabad are identified as higher spike per plot which indicated that these may be shown Prayagraj Agro-climatic condition. PCV than GCV all characters taken consideration. High magnitude No. bulblets plant, weight bulb plant , hectare least estimates observed no. leaves 6 month after planting. Heritability genetic advance indicate additive nature gene action reliability those selection emerged ideal traits improvement through selection.
